Oopbuy Sizing Guide: Shorthand That Works Across Categories

One decoder for every size tag on the sheet — TTS, +.5, boxy, oversized, and the cross-category logic.

The Oopbuy sizing guide is the reference every regular shopper eventually memorizes. Sizing shorthand on the sheet is compact but consistent across categories once you know the vocabulary. This post covers every tag, how they apply differently by category and the cross-checks that keep you out of the return queue.

The core shorthand

  • TTS — true to size, no adjustment needed.
  • +.5 — size up half.
  • +1 — size up one full size.
  • -.5 — the row runs large; size down half.
  • Oversized — drop shoulders and longer torso.
  • Boxy — wider through the chest, shorter length.
  • When silent — default to TTS.

Sneakers-specific notes

Sneakers are the most size-sensitive category on the Oopbuy Spreadsheet Hub. See the Sneakers deep dive for line-specific sizing. Most everyday runners are TTS; retro basketball silhouettes often run +.5.

Hoodies and tees

Hoodies are more forgiving because fits are consistent within a seller. See the Hoodies guide. Tees split by regular, oversized and boxy — see the T-Shirts guide for the fit families.

Pants sizing

Pants vary the most between rows. Fit family (slim, relaxed, wide) and fabric (denim, twill, jersey) both change how the same waist number reads. Read the Pants guide for the cheat sheet.

Jerseys: authentic vs replica

Jerseys have two cuts. Authentic runs smaller, tighter torso, longer sleeves. Replica runs TTS or slightly large, relaxed torso. See the Jerseys guide.

Cross-checks before ordering

Read the last three notes on the row. Check the photo folder for a fit reference — some folders include on-model shots. If the sizing note conflicts with community comments on forums, trust the community.

When sizing goes wrong

Rejecting at QC is the cleanest recovery — the item never leaves the warehouse. Post-delivery, the return policy covers what qualifies. Prevention beats cure; read the shorthand carefully.
