The Oopbuy Warehouse is where your purchased items live between arrival and international shipping. It is the enabling infrastructure behind consolidation — the reason you can order five items over three weeks and ship them together as one parcel. This post covers how warehouse storage works, when fees start and how to plan around them.
How the warehouse fits into an order
Once your order is placed, the item ships from the seller to the Oopbuy warehouse. Warehouse staff receive it, inspect it and post QC photos. Once you approve QC, the item sits in warehouse storage until you request shipping. See Oopbuy QC for the inspection step and Oopbuy Buy for the full flow.
Free storage duration
Every approved item gets a set number of free-storage days — see Oopbuy free storage for the current window. This is enough time to accumulate additional items for consolidation. Extensions may be available for a small fee, but the sweet spot is shipping within the free window.
When extra fees kick in
- Items past the free-storage window may accrue a small daily fee.
- Oversized or unusual items sometimes carry higher storage rates.
- Items in dispute (rejected QC pending resolution) usually have their storage clock paused.
Planning around the free window
The free window is the primary constraint on consolidation. If you plan a haul, place all its orders within a window that keeps every item inside its free days at ship time. Order the slowest-shipping seller first, the fastest last.
What warehouse staff can and cannot do
Staff can inspect, photograph, repack, and consolidate items for shipping. They generally cannot inspect deeply for authenticity beyond what the QC photos reveal, cannot modify items, and cannot store items beyond the fee windows without your request. For unusual requests, contact customer support.
Consolidation and repacking
Some sellers ship items in oversized boxes that push volumetric weight. Warehouse staff can repack to reduce parcel dimensions — often the single biggest saver on Oopbuy shipping cost. Request repacking when you have bulky-but-light items like puffer jackets or shoeboxes.
Ready to ship
When your approved items are ready, choose a shipping method and pay the calculated quote. Return to the homepage and tap the Oopbuy Spreadsheet or Buy It Now button when you have new items to add to the next warehouse batch.
